I've taken this next piece outside. The majority of my work begins with lighting - specifically 'controlled lighting.'  It's often stressful to position the model and anchor the light to get just the right focal point. I wanted to take that control out of my hands and let nature do it. It is more organic and less planned.  My models' skin has solely been effected by 'studio lighting.' This image here is a refined sketch in the woods with daylight.  The branches and trees provide me with linear compositions that I've 'stumbled upon.' They naturally coerce you to look at specific locations. I felt like an observer drawing this rather than a strategic planner.
