Need a break...Beating it to death

So I've been plugging away on this one for a while.  I like it at one point, 

now I'm annoyed. I'm shelving it for now.  I am more interested in the idea of 

not showing the portrait - since that is always my focus. I adjusted the contrast for emphasis. Def not up

to par with my others...

Too Big Too Soon

This painting is huge.  It is 5 ft x 5 ft.  I never work this large and felt ambitious 

since Spawn was/is a major part of my art history.  All these posters exist.  I would say this is an 

incredibly self-indulgent painting. It isn't as finished as I want.  The scale is something I battle with.  Changing something on this scale requires a modest amount of paint and the friction between wet/wet.

Summer Business

So i've moved studios and been working at a smaller scale than usual.

I'm trying to stick between 3 or four colors and just changing the values.
